Frequently Asked Questions
What time should I arrive?
The studio will open 15 minutes before each class. First time students should arrive approximately 15 minutes in advance. Everyone is welcome to arrive early to relax, center yourself, and breathe before class!
What should I wear to class?
You should wear comfortable workout clothing that you can move in and stretch in easily. Layers are helpful as your body temperature might fluctuate - typically you'll start out cooler, then warm up and even sweat during practice, and then end practice cooler again during deep relaxation. If you have longer hair, you might want to wear it up in a ponytail.
What should I bring to class?
You should bring a yoga mat and water to class. Mats are available for your use during class (for free). Mats are also available for purchase for $20. Water is available at the studio.
Should I eat before class?
It is recommended that you practice on an empty stomach. Try to eat at least 2-3 hours prior to class. Also, drink plenty of water prior to class so that you are fully hydrated.
How often should I practice?
While one class per week is better than none at all, Yoga is most beneficial when practiced regularly. Try to come to at least two classes a week and practice at home a little on your own each day.
Other etiquette notes...
  • Please remove your shoes and socks upon entering the studio.
  • Please turn off cell phones and pagers.
  • Please refrain from wearing excessive perfumes or fragrances.
